The Branch Projects for Land Reclamation and Development of Fruitful Afforestation in As-Suwayda prepared about 800 dunums of land in the village of Maqala 'in the countryside of Sweida, to be entered by agricultural investment.
In a statement to SANA's correspondent today, the branch manager, Engineer Hussam Jamoul, said that the prepared lands constitute an opportunity to increase the number of fruit trees planted and thus increase agricultural production in the coming years.
He pointed out that the branch is continuing its work in a number of villages and regions of the governorate during the coming period, despite the difficulties represented by the shortage of working staff and the introduction of mechanisms whose productive life exceeds 18 years.
The project of land reclamation and the development of fruitful afforestation in the province of Sweida is an important step to serve the agricultural development process and improve the field of investment in the agricultural sector.
