Police have opened an investigation into the affair following complaints received several weeks ago by the Beer Sheva police by parents in possession of documentation that raised suspicions of harm to toddlers

An investigation was opened on suspicion of abusing minors in a kindergarten in Be'er Sheva by the kindergarten staff. This was announced by the police last night (Thursday) after a report was received by the Be'er Sheva police about the suspicion of abuse.

A statement from the police spokeswoman said that the kindergarten teacher and three other workers, apparently assistants, had been summoned for questioning at the Be'er Sheva police station. At the end of the investigation, it was decided to remove them from the kindergarten, which did not reopen its doors to the children.

As mentioned, the opening of the investigation began after a few weeks ago, complaints were received by the Israel Police in Be'er Sheva by parents in possession of documentation and evidence, claiming that abandonment and even abuse of the toddlers in the kindergarten did occur.

A preliminary investigation and a complaint from one of the mothers revealed that one of the children in the kindergarten, the complainant's son, told her that he had been beaten in the kindergarten. "He said she helped him beat him," the mother said in her complaint. "I asked my son to show me how she beat him and he hit himself in the head," the mother said.

After he told about it, his mother shared with another mother and then they decided to question the children, and then make a decision about continuing the steps. One of the girls in kindergarten, who has an older sister, six years old, who was in the same kindergarten, and she also said that the assistant beat her. One of the mothers said that one of the children had a recording device with him, and "they heard neglect, screams, threats against the child 'If you do not eat I will take your plate.' I could not hear all the recordings."

Another mother recounted: "I saw a video where my child was 6 minutes unattended, when I told the teacher she said one of the assistants is in the area. After a while the kindergarten principal is seen coming and pulling my child tight in the hand. (This incident was three weeks ago)."

One of the mothers confronted the kindergarten teacher, who brought in a computer man who checked the security cameras, and discovered that there were no recordings, apparently in an attempt by the kindergarten staff to hide the documentation being done in the kindergarten.
