Regarding the universal community testing program, government documents stated that all personal data will be stored in the government cloud system and will only be used by the Department of Health, relevant policy bureaus and departments for disease prevention and control purposes. The participating laboratories and logistics companies will not obtain the personal data of the person who provided the sample. In addition, all tests under the Universal Community Testing Program will only be conducted in Hong Kong, and no test samples or personal data will be sent outside Hong Kong.
