Twenty-four fires broke out today (Friday) in fields near the Gaza Envelope settlements, following incendiary balloons fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israeli territory. Most of the fires broke out in the territories of the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, and some also ignited within the Eshkol and Hof Ashkelon councils.

Firefighters worked with KKL-JNF and the Nature and Parks Authority, with the help of IDF forces, Air Force firefighting planes and Rabshakehs, to gain control of the flames. .
