The topics of the quarterly Al-Hayat Plastic Art Journal issued by the Directorate of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Culture in its new issue varied between various intellectual topics in the world of formation in its various races, schools and pioneers in addition to critical studies of exhibitions and artistic events and dialogues with Syrian plastic artists.

Editor-in-chief Saad Al-Qassem, in his article entitled “Documenting the Memory of the Syrian Formation,” reviewed the articulated stations that plastic art has gone through in our country from its beginnings until now, pointing out that the last decades of the twentieth century were marked by the growth of official support for plastic life, which was evident by the opening of exhibition halls and the increase in the acquisition of works. For the benefit of the Museum of Modern Art to be established, in addition to the entry of private entities on a large scale, especially by opening exhibition galleries, pointing out that the Syrian plastic life is rich in experiences and trends.

The double issue carrying numbers 117-118 included an article about the experience of the plastic artist, Mamoun Al-Homsi, in which the artist Ghazi Aana showed that he is an artist known for the diversity of sources of his culture and interests, as in every stage he went through, we were drawn to a set of his features such as the understanding of the analysis of shapes, their simplification and sometimes their modification, taking advantage of the possibility of color And its derivatives in determining the ends of the shape of the plate.

The issue contained several articles on Arab and international artistic phenomena, including the conceptual art of Palestinian plastic art by Dr. Ghazi Anaim, and the books of the plastic artist, Dr. Talal Mualla, on Naga Al-Mahdawi ... in Paradise of Speech ... and the artist of the Spanish Renaissance trapped between two options by Dr. Kamal Mohiuddin Hussein and Picasso's concept of copying And theft in the plastic arts of Ismail Sheikhouni.

The issue stated that the galleries in Damascus witnessed last year a significant number of distinguished exhibitions, which included recent experiences of young artists and multiple experiences of artists whose experiences the plastic public had already known.
