The strange quarrel of the last few weeks around the term "ensauvagement" confirms us once again, if necessary, to what extent the media system works not to describe the reality of French society but to obscure it. The most violent scenes multiply, the attacks add up and yet, the licensed sociologists repeat it over and over: all is not so bad and those who say the opposite are pouring into the "security escalation".

Better yet: everything is fine. The coexistence is harmonious, the agents of the public services can work without risk, the rodeos are rare, a young man who comes to the defense of young women is a provocateur who deserves to be attacked and morals are moreover and softer, as we have seen with the "young" in "jubilation" on the Champs-Élysées during the last sports competitions. In short, life is good in plural France! It is the triumph of Potemkin diversity.
It's not the violence
