The head of the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNA) decided on Friday to temporarily suspend the Minister of the Interior, after the incidents during peaceful protests in Tripoli last week.

"Interior Minister Fathi Bachagha is provisionally suspended" and will respond to an "administrative inquiry" into "his statements regarding protests and incidents in Tripoli and other cities," according to a decision by the GNA.
