An American study confirmed that the female hormone is a protective factor against the Corona virus because it protects against cardiovascular diseases in women.
According to the Science Mail website, scientists at the Wake Forest College of Medicine noted that since the beginning of the "Covid 19" pandemic, many men and the elderly have developed severe symptoms compared to younger individuals and women.
After a review of preclinical data on the activity of sex hormones, especially estrogen, scientists said, and the review was published in the journal "Current Hypertension Reports", men are at greater risk than women for more severe symptoms and worse outcomes than "Covid 19", regardless of age.
Lead author of the review, Lian Groban, professor of anesthesiology at Wake Forest College of Medicine, said: “We know that the Coronavirus affects the heart and that the estrogen hormone protects against cardiovascular disease in women, so it seems that the most likely explanation is hormonal differences between the sexes and we hope that our review is like A guide to treatment ”.
