Geneva - Sana
Today, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community to immediately intervene to stop the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, especially its continued detention of the bodies of 66 Palestinian martyrs.
"The occupation authorities are using this illegal and systematic practice of detaining the bodies of Palestinians they have executed and killing them as a bargaining chip in violation of international law and human dignity," it said, quoting the Palestine Mission to the United Nations, demanding the return of the bodies to their families.
The mission called on the United Nations and its international organizations to take effective measures to stop the Judaising and racist occupation practices, which constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, affirming the inalienable and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among which is the right to return and establish their independent state.
