A face-to-face between two cars left a heavy toll this Saturday morning in Val-d'Oise. It was not even 6 a.m. when the accident occurred on the RD 14 near Buhy. A woman driving a Renault Mégane lost control of her vehicle for an unknown reason. She was traveling with her husband, in the passenger seat and their 5-year-old child.

The Renault then collided head-on with another car which was coming in front. The passenger, a 32-year-old male, was seriously injured. The emergency services took care of him and he was evacuated by helicopter to the Beaujon hospital in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine). The child was transferred to the Argenteuil hospital center, with his mother.

In the car coming in front were four people in total. The two women in the back seat were reportedly more slightly affected. On the other hand, the driver, aged about sixty, suffers from significant injuries, including an open fracture. He was taken care of in Pontoise, as was the passenger who was next to him in the car. Traffic was interrupted for a very long time in order to allow emergency services to intervene. If the circumstances of the accident are still unclear, it may be a state of drowsiness that could be the cause of the shock.

A 10-year-old child hospitalized

Saturday afternoon, it is in Seine-et-Marne, that another serious accident occurred. Two vehicles collided around 2:30 p.m., on the departmental 619, on the territory of the municipality of Limoges-Fourches. A Citroën Picasso and an Opel Zafira collided head on.

All five occupants of the two vehicles, including a 10-year-old child, were injured. Two of them were transported by helicopter. The child was taken with the other two injured by road to hospitals. The victims were distributed over several care centers in Île-de-France, including that of Melun. The cause of the accident is not yet known. An investigation is underway.
