Everyone is new to the coronavirus pandemic. What is an assertion one day can be doubted the next. And football is not alien to that logic. River's health bubble was broken by the positive of goalkeeping coach Adrián Olivieri and the first reports spoke that the players were going to be isolated in their hotel rooms where they were concentrated until the results of the new swabs were known. But it was not like that: this Saturday those led by Marcelo Gallardo returned to training, although in a particular way.

The soccer players who did not present symptoms of coronavirus were authorized by the medical staff to carry out some individual training inside the Holiday Inn hotel in Ezeiza, where the team is concentrated, outdoors and within a sanitary corridor.

After the preventive isolation and the suspension of group training caused by Olivieri's positive test, some players went out to a soccer field that the hotel has in different shifts to do exercises with social distancing. A sanitary corridor was organized within the hotel for the players to leave their rooms in rotating shifts to move around a bit, to do some cycling, without contact between them and with a strict special protocol for the occasion.

The decision was made this Friday night after several consultations with the health authorities and this type of training will be repeated until the new results of the swabs are available and they can return to work at the River Camp property, in the group mode. , as had been happening until Thursday night when Olivieri's positive case was detected.

In the last hours, the campus doctor, Pedro Hansing, reported that between this Monday and Tuesday there will be new studies to find out if there were infections and, depending on those results that will be repeated after 72 hours, a new plan will be made of work.

The squad was going to leave the health "bubble" this Saturday after training in the morning, but in the case of Covid-19 the players will remain isolated for at least one more week until there are details on whether there were more infections in the group they make up  65 people.

River will have to change the training plan for the start of the official competition, which will be on September 17 against São Paulo, in Brazil, when the Copa Libertadores restarts, which for Gallardo's team also includes a trip to Peru and two more home games on the Independiente court.
