Protesters storm through the barricades on the Reichstag stairs

Almost 40,000 people demonstrated against the federal government's corona policy on Saturday in Berlin - in the vast majority of cases, peacefully. In front of the Reichstag there were clashes with the police in the evening when dozens of people stormed the stairs of the building. There had previously been a rally in front of the building.

Videos shared on Twitter show people breaking the barriers in front of the building and running up the stairs. Apparently there were not enough police on site at the time. At least some of the demonstrators are likely to come from the right-wing or right-wing extremist spectrum; Reich flags were visible.
