Under the patronage of the President, Lieutenant General Bashar Al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, and on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Naval Forces and Coastal Defense Day, today I celebrated the graduation of a new batch of students from the Naval College.
The celebration began with standing a minute of silence in honor of the souls of our righteous martyrs, then the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic was played. After that, a military parade took place in which all sessions participated.
The representative of the patron stressed that Syria is capable of continuing steadfastness and achieving victory with its proud people, its brave army, its wise leadership and its loyal friends.
The Director of the Naval College also delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the graduates successfully passed the first step in their military life, stressing the need to be role models and role models, always ready to carry out the tasks assigned to defend the pride and independence of the homeland.
After that, a ceremony was held for the handover and receipt of the flag, and the graduates took the military oath, then the success order was followed, and the order to name the graduated course was named after the martyr Major Nadim Ibrahim Hassan. Certificates and gifts were distributed to the first graduates.
The naval forces and coastal defense in the Syrian Arab Army also celebrated the 72nd anniversary of the Naval Forces Day.
On this occasion, a maritime parade was held, in which missile boats, patrol boats and scavengers participated, in addition to frog boats.
According to the approved maritime tradition, a wreath was thrown at sea to commemorate the souls of the martyrs of the maritime powers, and a wreath was placed on the memorial set up for the martyrs of the maritime powers and coastal defense.
