Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah threatened today (Sunday) that reaction against Israel following the killing of Hezbollah fighters in Syria has not ended. "When Israel killed one of our soldiers - we killed one of its soldiers," he said in his speech on the occasion of Ashura Shiite.
Nasrallah tension on the Lebanese border and warned that His goal is to maintain the balance of deterrence, following the incident last week, in which members of his organization opened fire on an IDF force, and in response, targets were attacked in Lebanon. There were no casualties in the incident in Israel, and in Lebanon only property damage was reported.
"We are in no hurry to respond," Nasrallah said. "Eventually the soldiers came out of their hiding place, we will meet them and realize our response." According to him, his organization is committed to maintaining the balance of deterrence with Israel, but is not looking for confrontations along the border because "this is what Israel wants."
