A 30-year-old woman was shot to death last night (Monday) at her home in the Gan Hekel A neighborhood in Ramla.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that the incident took place against the background of a brawl on a street between clans, during which shots were fired.

One of the bullets bounced off one of the houses in the area, hitting a woman.

Police have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.



MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the scene of the shooting, performed CPR on the woman and evacuated her to Assaf Harofeh Hospital, where her condition was defined as humane. The hospital's medical staff was forced to determine her death.

MDA medic Nathaniel Eitan said that "when we arrived at the scene, we saw a 30-year-old woman unconscious, with no pulse, and no breathing, with serious injuries to her body.

"We immediately started giving her life-saving medical care that included bandages, massages, and resuscitation, and we rushed her to the hospital with her condition defined as humane."
