A well-known rabbi from the southern region was arrested last night (Monday) on suspicion of committing sexual offenses and attempting to disrupt an investigation.

Police arrested the Kabbalistic rabbi following complaints filed against him by two women.

Later in the day, he will be brought to court for a remand hearing.

The complaints were filed against the rabbi in various parts of the country.

One woman complained at a police station in the center, and the other at a Netivot station.

However, the investigation was opened at the Be'er Sheva police station, due to the rabbi's acquaintance with police in the city and in order to avoid a conflict of interest.
