Hamas announced tonight (Monday) that it has reached an understanding to calm down with Israel.

The organization noted that the contacts were mediated by the Qatari envoy to the Gaza Strip, Muhammad al-Amadi.

Israel confirmed that understandings of principle had indeed been reached with Hamas, but refrained from addressing specific clauses in the agreement.

According to Hamas sources, this involves the opening of the crossings, the gradual opening of the fishing area (starting from 3 miles), the continuation of the Qatari grant, the approval of a series of facilities and the development of employment projects of international organizations.

"The leadership of the movement expresses gratitude and appreciation for the Qatari effort and support of our people, and prays to God to protect our people, our nation from all evil, plagues and plagues, and the evil of the enemies," Hamas said.

Qatari pressure on Hamas to reach a truce in the Gaza Strip escalates as Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh talks with Qatari Foreign Minister Muhammad al-Thani during the day.

Meanwhile, balloon terrorism from the Gaza Strip has not stopped and firefighters and rescue services said that during the day, 15 fires broke out in the Gaza Strip.

Firefighters, along with KKL-JNF teams, the Nature and Parks Authority, IDF forces and volunteers, worked at the combustion centers, most of them in the Eshkol Regional Council.

It was also reported that most of the fires broke out in thorny fields in the Eshkol Regional Council, and were harmless.
