Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht Rawanji, confirmed that America does not have the right to use the mechanism for reinstating the previous embargo measures against Iran, as it is no longer a member of the nuclear agreement after its exit from it.
The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Takht Rawanji as saying during the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly to study the annual report submitted to it by the Security Council that “America, which has been unable, with its deceptive justifications, illegal inferences and arbitrary interpretations of Resolution 2231, even political pressure and intimidation of states to force members of the Security Council to commit Bowing to its will, it now claims that the embargo measures previously imposed by the Security Council and canceled after the nuclear agreement will return on September 20, "indicating that the inferences of the members of the Security Council enjoy complete legal soundness, as well as the conclusion of the President of this Council is decisive and free of any ambiguity as he says that Washington You do not have any eligibility to activate the mechanism for reinstating previous blocking actions.
Takht Rawanji also drew attention to the destructive measures that America is taking in the Middle East, stressing the necessity of binding the Security Council and its members to laws.
Takht Rawanji referred to the violation of the territorial waters and Iranian airspace in the year 2019 by America, saying that “America's adventures against Iran have reached such an extent that as part of a terrorist operation, under the direct order of its president, it assassinated the regional counter-terrorism heroes, especially the martyr commander Soleimani, and despite the fact that the majority of lawmen They considered this operation a clear violation of the charter of the United Nations and international laws, but the Security Council remained silent about it.
Takht Rawanji added that while the crimes of the Israeli entity continued in 2019 in the oppression of the Palestinians and the inhumane blockade on the Gaza Strip, the Security Council was only watching the situation.
