Police are investigating the rabbi from the south who is suspected of committing indecent acts on two women during spiritual counseling • A restraining order was imposed on him

The rabbi from the south, who is suspected of indecent acts at the doctor and whose details are forbidden from publication, was arrested after being questioned, the police announced tonight (Sunday).

According to the police statement, the rabbi was summoned for questioning on suspicion of sexual offenses against two women and on suspicion of disrupting an investigation. At the end of his interrogation, the rabbi was arrested and tomorrow the police will request an extension of his detention.

Another man who was questioned on suspicion of disrupting investigative proceedings, was arrested and will also be brought in tomorrow for an extension of detention.

The investigation of the affair came after a doctor filed a complaint with the police, in which she accused the rabbi of sexual offenses after she came to him for initial counseling.

The doctor told investigators that after picking up her shirt, he asked her to lift her bra, and expose her chest.

This, on the grounds that this would "better diagnose her condition."

According to her, he touched his chest with his hand, and at that moment she felt very humiliated.

Later he even touched her stomach. 

Following the opening of the investigation, another complaint was received against the rabbi, from another woman who described a similar series of events, and even added that she knows of two other cases in which the rabbi committed sexual offenses against women who came for spiritual counseling from the rabbi. 

Advocate Susie Arnia, the doctor's attorney, said that these were allegedly serious acts on the part of the rabbi - who took advantage of his status and influence towards the doctor, while she was in distress, and turned to him for a blessing and advice.
