Finally, good news, if we can say so!
According to the results of the 12th Absenteeism and Commitment Barometer carried out by the consulting firm Ayming (in partnership with AG2R-La Mondiale) published by
Le Figaro
, absenteeism is no longer increasing in companies in France.
After two years of increase, the overall employee absence rate stabilized in 2019 at 5.11%, compared to 5.10% in 2018. This corresponds to 18.7 days on average of absence per year and per employee in France, i.e. only 0.1 days more than in 2018.

While it has not stopped growing for three years, absenteeism has clearly decreased in commerce (-9%), industry (-9%) and health (-8%), but it has increased in services (+ 9%).
These results can be explained in particular by the strengthening of prevention plans, both for occupational risks and work accidents, as well as increased awareness among managers in the sectors traditionally most affected.
