US President Donald Trump's senior adviser, Jared Kushner, met last night (Tuesday) with Saudi Arabia's heir to the throne, Muhammad bin Salman.

This is part of the continued American efforts to persuade other countries in the region to promote normalization with Israel.

According to the State News Agency, the two discussed plans to achieve stability in the region and the importance of returning to negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

In recent days, Kushner has held meetings in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, following the signing of the normalization agreement.

The day before his visit to Saudi Arabia, Kushner arrived in Bahrain, where he met with King Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa.

According to the official news agency in the kingdom, the king told Trump's adviser that stability in the region depends on Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain is considered to be following in the footsteps of the United Arab Emirates, given the common fear of Iran and its statements in favor of Israel in recent years.

In addition, it also hosted the International Conference of Palestinian Donors last year, as part of the Trump administration's "deal of the century."

However, Bahrain is dependent on Saudi Arabia, and Riyadh has made it clear that they will maintain official ties with Israel only after the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
