Emmanuel Macron announced Tuesday in Beirut that he was going to Iraq on Wednesday morning to launch, with the UN, an initiative in support of
“the sovereignty”
of the country.

"I can confirm that tomorrow morning I will be in Iraq to launch an initiative in conjunction with the United Nations to support a process of sovereignty",
declared the French president, the day after the announcement of this visit by Iraqi officials.
