Starting this Wednesday, September 2, and within the framework of its 75th anniversary,

Clarín

presents

"The world after the pandemic,"

a cycle of conversations with global leaders in politics, economics, thought and technology.

The first guest, and with the business accompaniment of Pan American Energy, Desa and Techint, will be the turn of Julio María Sanguinetti, former president of Uruguay, who like the rest of the guests will be interviewed by Ricardo Kirschbaum, general editor of Clarín.

The talk live and open to the public will be broadcast virtually from 11 in the morning through the Clarín website, Zoom and YouTube and will be sponsored by Newsan and Crossfinder.

Ricardo Lagos and Julio Sanguinetti, former presidents of Chile and Uruguay, participants of the cycle "The world after the pandemic."

The former Uruguayan president will be followed by other key names in Latin American politics in recent years.

On Wednesday 9 will be the former Chilean president Ricardo Lagos;

a week later, on the 16th, the Brazilian Fernando Henrique Cardoso and on September 23 the Spanish Felipe González.

Fernando Henrique Cardoso, former president of Brazil, and Felipe González, former president of Spain.

The meetings, inevitably virtual in these days of the pandemic, mark the continuity of the "Democracy and development" cycle, organized by Clarín over the last three years, which became an inescapable reference as beacons of reflection and thought on the problems and opportunities facing Argentina and the countries of the region today.

The institutional, economic and social challenges of our country and neighboring nations are approached with a plural and long-term perspective.

Last year, and in full electoral effervescence in Argentina, the then candidate and today president Alberto Fernández, former president Mauricio Macri, former governor María Eugenia Vidal, passed through the stage of the MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires). former minister Roberto Lavagna, the then vice presidential candidates Miguel Angel Pichetto and Juan Manuel Urtubey and the current president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa.

Such political presences made each of the meetings the center of the pre-electoral energy of those days, attracting attention and allowing us to feel the present and imagine the future.

This year, and with the presence of personalities from different spaces of thought, the cycle will run until December.

An unmissable digital appointment and space for reflection to understand this particular present and look hopeful at the future.
