Histadrut chairman Arnon Bar-David announced today (Tuesday) a labor dispute in the economy following Finance Minister Israel Katz to cut wages in the public sector, against the background of the economic crisis. In a conversation with Walla! NEWS, the Histadrut chairman attacked the minister, claiming that the latter PR on the backs of workers "to get out of the political situation he is in.

"Even if I initially wanted to reach an agreement with the Minister of Finance, now I have no such intention," Bar-David said after the Histadrut institutions approved his request to declare a labor dispute in the public sector.

"I have acted responsibly throughout the Corona crisis, but it is rampant in the public sector."

He said behind-the-scenes talks on the issue were halted due to improper distribution of funds and lack of budget.

"He gave delusional deadlines," he noted.

"One day he woke up in the morning because he was in a difficult political and public situation."

The finance plan includes a 10% cut in the salaries of senior executives in the public sector who earn more than NIS 20,000, and a differential cut in the lower salary.

As for budgetary pensions, the Ministry of Finance is talking about raising the management fee, which means raising the employee's participation rate from 2% to 7%.

Bar-David added that Katz used to attend negotiation meetings without an orderly plan regarding the purposes for which the funds would be cut, while the state announces every day, according to him, new budget-sharing plans. "What will he cut?", He wondered. "From the social worker?

From the doctor?

From the nurse?

From the employee in the Ministry of Government?

He is interested in taking from us and giving to whoever He wants.

It is unthinkable: there is no budget, no one knows what is happening here and want to impose on us just cuts.

Distribute money in plans and then cut back on us.

That is not possible in the Western world. "
