If you are a fan of going out on a bike ride and you prefer to see murals while touring the big cities than visiting a museum, you should be aware that, for several years, various cities around the world such as Mexico City, Bogotá , Guatemala City, Manila, Paris and San Francisco, among many others, make foreign and local tourism discover these multicolored art forms embodied in the walls of buildings.

In this pop tour we will visit the city of Fort Worth in Texas in a different way.

We will do it with Bronwen Gregory who, after traveling 40 cities around the world and being away from her hometown for more than 15 years, returns to let locals and tourists know the city that saw her grow through her murals and in bikes.

“Public art has a way of connecting with people, which makes it unique and special, whether it's for people who live here or people visiting the city for the first time.

What is sought is to show the way of communication and the spirit of the artists in such a powerful way.

Taking a bike tour is also a beautiful way to honor the history of a place and what these pieces of art do, is to beautify a place in the city ”, assures Bronwen, who seeks that cyclists, regardless of whether you are professional or not, slow down to pay attention to hidden corners of the city.

Stops will be made at local businesses to enjoy everything from snacks to local food.

Fort Worth's mural scene has spread throughout the city.

From artworks that showcase the western historical ties of the city, modern abstract pieces perfect for selfies, to social commentary on current events.

“We would see an average of 30 murals.

There is an area called "The Astounding District" where you can see a lot of murals.

It has an inspirational alley where you meet your friends to chat or refresh yourself, and you can even make new friends.

Here cyclists have the opportunity to see a hidden gem that few people could see.

We are planning to chart different routes as lately there have been new murals with a very powerful message where local artists honor social events, ”says Bronwen.

Murals are the form of expression of street artists that show their joys and sorrows.

The City of Fort Worth has increased bicycle routes and lanes.

Currently there are 7 routes that run throughout the city and there are plans to build more, according to the local government.

Mayor Betsy Price is a fan of this mode of transportation, which is why the city has been bike-friendly for several years.

“We will visit local businesses for sandwiches, fresh juices and local ice cream.

We are trying to present new active ways for people to experience the place.

We will have a van to follow us as protection and help in case someone gets a flat tire or has problems with the chain or any incident that occurs during the tour.

We will have a team of professionals who will help us at any time ”.

Fort Worth has several districts full of murals.

There are several areas to visit, the River District with the classic mural of the city of the 3 orangutans;

Near Southside boasts a long list and a wide variety of public access art pieces throughout the district and beyond such as Camp Bowie, West Forth Worth, West 7th, and downtown.

During the 4 hours of the tour by Bronwen Gregory, you can enjoy this city that still maintains its cowboy air with its renowned longhorn cattle and with the modernity of its rapid growth.

It is a pride that men take to the streets with their cowboy hats and that at night they go to Billy Bob's in the Stockyards neighborhood to dance and eat BBQ ribs, but that is another story of the Popero Tour.
