Serena Williams kicked off her participation in the US Open on Tuesday with a victory over American Kristie Ahn.
Serena is going for the 24th Grand Slam title, which would mean her seventh singles title at Flushing Meadows, New York.
But it's been six years since her last title at the US Open.
Since then, the former world No. 1 has added several disappointments in the tournament.
