The educational and teaching staff in the city of Qamishli and its countryside in Al-Hasakah governorate began a sterilization campaign for all schools in preparation for the new school year.
The head of the educational complex in the city of Qamishli, Hassan Al-Hussein, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the sterilization campaign comes within the framework of adherence to the precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Education to protect students from the Coronavirus and to ensure that schools are ready in terms of hygiene and sterilization, which includes all classrooms, public facilities and water tanks in All schools before the start
of the new academic year.
Al-Hussein explained that schools were divided into sectors starting from the schools in the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Qamishli, under the supervision of committees of administrative and educational personnel to monitor the sterilization process.
On the other hand, the Al-Bar Charitable Society in the city of Qamishli today launched the initiative “An dirham of prevention is better than a pint of treatment” to distribute a number of masks, sterilizers and educational brochures to citizens as part of the necessary precautionary measures to combat the Coronavirus.
Ibrahim Al-Khalidi, Chairman of the Society's Board of Directors, stated that the initiative will last for three days and target densely populated residential neighborhoods to educate the largest possible number of citizens and confirm that the threat of Corona still exists, and it is necessary to pay attention to personal protection methods and adopt sterilization as a means to eliminate the virus.
