On Tuesday, September 1, 2020, around 10 a.m., a 38-year-old man borrowed a red Ford pickup for a test drive from a car dealership in the east of Regensburg.

He made the appointment the day before.

After the agreed half an hour, the driver did not return, so the police were informed in the early afternoon.

The company had also received a call beforehand that the vehicle had been refueled at a gas station in Wackersdorfer Strasse in Schwandorf at around 12.30 p.m. and that the driver had left without paying.



The car is a red Ford pickup. The “Ranger Raptor” vehicle was last registered with the registration number R-DS366, was registered for the first time in February 2020 and is valued at around 50,000 euros.
