Deir Ezzor-Sana
The General Company for Water Projects began implementing a project to rehabilitate the Corniche of the President in Deir Ezzor, which was subjected to sabotage by terrorism.
The project supervisor, Eng. Issa Darwish, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the project is being implemented by the branch of the General Company for Water Projects under a contract concluded with the Deir Ezzor Governorate, funded by the Deir Ezzor Support Fund, with a contract value of about 89 million Syrian pounds and the period of time is 60 days.
Darwish pointed out that the project aims to restore life to the Corniche, which is an outlet for the people and an important tourist and economic site for the city.
The director of the General Company for Water Projects in the Eastern Region, Eng. Ghassan Abbas, stated that the works include opening roads, removing mounds and rubble, repairing the asphalt shirt, rehabilitating sidewalks, metal fences, and rain drainage points in the area extending from the entrance to the Corniche in the east to the Heart Hospital in the west, with a length of about 3 km.
