Before her death in July 2017, Jeanne Moreau had provided by will that all of her property and moral rights would be allocated to a fund, in charge of subsequently creating a foundation.
"It is this fund that entrusted us with its collection to pay tribute to it through an exhibition as much as an online auction", explains Artcurial auctioneer Stéphane Aubert.

Everything comes from her apartment in the 8th arrondissement, opposite the Salle Pleyel where there was not much left except her dresses and her souvenirs, the actress having separated a long time ago from the furniture of her farm in La Garde-Freinet, in the Var.
