7,157 positive cases were confirmed in 24 hours, according to the daily report published by the public health agency on its site, a figure comparable to the level of the day before (7,017).

The positivity rate of the tests (proportion of the number of people tested positive compared to the total number of people tested) resumes its progression, to 4.4% against 4.3% on Wednesday.

The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in intensive care continues to increase, with 18 additional people bringing the total to 464. Globally stable around 400 people last week, this figure had already increased by 15 people on Tuesday, from 22 on Wednesday.

However, it is very far from the peak reached on April 8, with 7,148 patients hospitalized for Covid-19 received in intensive care.

In 24 hours, 20 additional patients died in France, bringing the total of deaths to 30,706 since the start of the epidemic, adds Public Health France.

23 departments are now considered in a situation of “

high vulnerability

”, and 37 in “

moderate vulnerability

”, a classification produced by Public Health France based on all the epidemic monitoring indicators.
