The plan to establish new transitory pedestrian areas

tables and diners on the sidewalks.

What you see in Bolívar at 900, the first painted area, are yellow circles.

In each one there must be one of the

tables

that the locals thought about the plans they put together to present to the City Government.

The plan consists of the

total traffic cut

in certain demarcated areas, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to midnight, except for some areas, where this limitation will be extended during the week.

There will be a total of

85 blocks

through which the only cars that can circulate will be those of the fronts.

We are going at a speed in the exit of the pandemic, that many things almost that

we are testing at the moment we are implementing them

.

And that is part of the learning of what we are seeing from other cities in the world ”, explains Juanjo Mendez, Secretary of Transportation and Public Works of the City.

That is why these areas will not be created with permanent works but with

transitory demarcations

.

Clara Muzzio, Minister of Public Space and Urban Hygiene of the City, clarifies that “we will see what happens in reality.

We know that

there are many people who meet

someone

on the street

that they have not seen for a long time, and that is why we observe that reality and we want to have a quick but also flexible response.

If we see that some area is not working, we will quickly find where it is that more people are concentrating in that neighborhood ”.

circulate and do their activities in the most orderly and safe way possible
