The Damascus Education Directorate continues to implement a sterilization and cleaning campaign for schools in preparation for the start of the school year, which today included the rinsing and sterilization of Abdel Qader Al Mazni School in Masaken Barzeh in Damascus.

The campaign is carried out in cooperation with the Revolutionary Youth Union and the First City Division of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, according to the Director of Damascus Education, Suleiman Al-Younis, who confirmed to SANA that the Abdel Qader Al-Mazni school was sterilized and cleaned and its courtyards, roofs and classrooms were rinsed after the necessary maintenance was carried out for the water courses, taps, seats and door handles.

Al-Younes explained that the directorate circulated to school administrations strictly in implementing the health protocol with the start of the new school year and preparing textbooks for distribution to students on the first actual school day, pointing out that the protocol includes intensive awareness and health education for students by a health supervisor who also provides weekly psychosocial support sessions. for them.

Al-Younis pointed to the importance of the role of the administrative staff in schools by informing the school buildings departments to fix any malfunctions that may occur and to ensure the cleanliness of water fountains and tanks and the permanent presence of soap in the sinks, bathrooms and toilets, and to secure clean water in sufficient quantities.

Zainab Taha, director of the Abdel Qader Al-Mazni school, indicated that the school had completed the complete maintenance of the walls, doors and bathrooms, indicating that the sterilization process was carried out with chlorine for all surfaces that students could touch upon their return to the school, while the head of the readiness department of the Damascus Education Directorate, a student, indicated that the sterilization campaign The daily intensive care unit will include all Damascus schools in preparation for their opening after being sterilized and professionally equipped.


Yesterday, the Damascus Education Directorate carried out the reform, rehabilitation and maintenance of the Nazir Nabeh Secondary School for Outstanding Students in the Mezzeh region, to be ready to receive students with the start of the new school year.
