Homs firefighters extinguished the hotbeds of fire that were renewed this afternoon after the fire that broke out last Monday at the location of the village of “Qarab Ali” in Wadi Al-Nadara in the western countryside of Homs.
Brigadier General Ghayath Aqil, Director of the Civil Defense Branch in Homs, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that a number of fire points were renewed today at the site of the fire, which was extinguished yesterday morning, in addition to new fires at the aforementioned site as a result of high temperatures.
Aqil pointed out that the cadres of the Homs Fire Brigade, the Civil Defense and the Fire Department of the Agriculture Directorate immediately dealt with it, as the work continued for several hours due to the rugged terrain and the fire was controlled, pointing out that the firefighting cadres are currently carrying out cooling operations and placing a number of firefighting mechanisms in the place in a state of alert for any new matter. .
Yesterday morning, Homs firefighting personnel managed to extinguish the widespread fire at the site of “Qarab Ali”, which lasted for two days due to the difficult geographical nature of the area.
