Quoting anonymous letter content but admitting unknown authenticity

Zhou Haoding read an anonymous letter during the live broadcast, naming the High Court Judge Huang Chonghou by name, saying that in the briefing session on July 3, he asked the magistrates to be cautious in words and deeds and take into account the feelings of the public during the trial. He also said that Ma Daoli "only To watch".

Ge Peifan: Fact check has a meeting

Ge Peifan posted a response on Facebook stating that after receiving complaints from citizens, she asked the judiciary for clarification. She herself did not comment on individual cases and did not think she was trying to influence the operation of the judiciary.
