In recognition of the participation of writers, poets and doctors in the Damascus Countryside Culture initiative for cultural and awareness-raising activities through direct broadcasting during the quarantine period and the suspension of live activities, the Directorate held a ceremony honoring the participants in the Orient House for Heritage in the field.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the audience listened to songs by music giants from Mohamed Abdel-Wahhab, Karem Mahmoud and others, in addition to a link from the Aleppo and Shami heritage and a collection of songs by the artist Hossam Tahseen Bey presented by the artist Sumer Najjar.
Ghaleb Al-Zoghbi, Director of Damascus Countryside Culture, explained that the honor was a natural gesture from the Directorate and the Ministry of Culture, in appreciation of the efforts of the participants as long as they answered the invitation and presented their creativity through live broadcasts, which met with outstanding success as evidenced by the large number of views.
Sana Al-Sabbagh, media coordinator for the culture of Damascus countryside, pointed out that the events that lasted for four consecutive weeks have met with wide repercussions and the participants deserve to be honored.
