Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has warned that the West should prepare "dirty tricks" for Russia ahead of the country's regional elections.

Sputnik Belarus quoted Lukashenko as saying during his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Minsk today that German Chancellor Angela Merkel's allegations about poisoning Russian political opponent Alexei Navalny are "false" and revealed that "a conversation between Warsaw and Berlin indicates the existence of a new plot and ruse against Russia in this regard ”pledged to submit the registration.

Lukashenko pointed out that "Belarus and Russia have made great progress in resolving sensitive issues," noting that an agreement had been reached with Russian President Vladimir Putin before the elections on this matter.

Mishustin indicated that during his visit to Minsk, the removal of barriers to intra-trade will be discussed and the expansion of cooperation in the fields of culture, sports, health care, energy and industry.

Mishustin arrived earlier today in the Belarusian capital Minsk on a working visit during which he will meet with Lukashenko and the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko in the presence of the ministers of the two countries.
