Even if Munich Airport is in its worst crisis due to the corona, it continues to rely on training - and thus on its own workforce of tomorrow.

Airport - 42 young professionals started their training at FMG this week as specialists for safety and security, mechatronics, plant fire fighters, IT specialists, real estate agents and office management specialists.

Another 15 young people will start their bachelor's degree in five different dual study programs at FMG on October 1st.

The new trainees were welcomed by Head of Personnel Robert Scharpf, Head of Corporate Training, Theresa Fleidl, Training Manager Gerhard Holuba and Works Councilor Maria Schwab.

Scharpf immediately welcomed the young professionals as “part of the airport family” and emphasized the “importance of well-founded professional training, especially in uncertain times due to the pandemic”.

The high quality of training was only confirmed in spring in a study by the magazine Focus Money (we reported).

This year, a total of 29 young people will be trained in six professions at the group subsidiaries.

All told, there are now around 280 young people in vocational training at the FMG Group.

The new trainees have only just started, so FMG is already preparing for the next year.

Interested parties can apply online to FMG for a total of ten different professions until October 15th.

The training will then start on September 1, 2021.

Apprenticeships are offered for specialists in protection and security, real estate agents, plant fire fighters, office management clerks and mechatronics engineers.

In addition to the above-mentioned IHK training courses, FMG also offers places for dual studies in the areas of business informatics, computer science, electrical engineering and information technology, air traffic management and real estate management.

The application for this is also possible immediately.
