The Presidency of the Council of Ministers mourned the former Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Eng. Ahmed Al-Qadri, who passed away this morning.
The Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow for the passing away of Minister Al-Qadri, directing the family of the deceased and his family to express their sincere condolences and may God inspire them patience and solace.
Al-Qadri was born in Al-Hasakah in 1956 and holds a BA in Agricultural Sciences in 1981 and holds a postgraduate diploma. He was assigned to head the Agricultural Scientific Research Center in Qamishli between 1986 and 2000, as director of Hasakah cultivation between 2000 and 2007, and as director of the modern irrigation project from 2007 to 2011.
Al-Qadri served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture in 2011 and was appointed Minister of Agriculture in 2013 until August 2020.
