Abdel Moein Astif, director of the forests in the cultivation of Hama, told SANA reporter that the fire situation in the vicinity of Al-Jarad beer is exacerbated by the increasing speed of the winds that pushed the fire to the eastern slope of the Masyaf Mountains, explaining that the fire began to descend in the forested areas from the axis of Sheikh Zaitoun hill towards the gathering of the villages of Al-Malaz, despite efforts The major exerted by the firefighters since 24 hours straight.
He stressed the urgent necessity to expand efforts by the Al-Haraj firefighting stations in other governorates for fear of the continued pace of winds and the expansion of fires towards residential areas, explaining that more than 12 tanks from the cultivation of Hama and Al-Ghab and the Hama fire brigade participate in extinguishing the fire in addition to the participation of dozens of firefighting workers, including elements from Tartous Fire Brigade.
