A player in the national soccer division TuS Geretsried has fallen ill.
Until a result of the corona test is available, the club has stopped its training and game operations.
The all-clear, however, has been given to the DJK Waldram.
Geretsried / Waldram
- In Corona times, planning is one of those things.
On this Saturday, the regional league footballers of TuS Geretsried wanted to play a test match at the DJK Waldram.
This does not happen because, as reported, the district league club is suspending training and games for the time being because of two players who tested positive for Covid19.
The game scheduled for tomorrow in the Isarau Stadium against TSV Ottobrunn is also canceled.
“We canceled the game on Friday morning because one of our players fell ill,” reports TuS coach Martin Grelics.
On Thursday, the kicker was still training normally, but then got chills during the night and flu-like symptoms.
"It can be a lot, but we don't want to take any risks," the coach explains the cancellation of the game.
The actor immediately tried to get a corona test.
Until a result is available, you should suspend training and games in any case.
"If his test is positive, we will probably all have to get tested anyway and possibly in quarantine," said the TuS coach.
He suspects that there will be such cases again and again in the near future.
"It's the time of acceptance," says Grelics.
Corona tests on 14 Waldram footballers are negative
At the DJK Waldram, where two players from the second team tested positive last week, everything is "safe" again, explains soccer department head Dominik Wamsler, audibly relieved.
The test results of the 14 affected active from the DJK reserve were all negative.
Nevertheless, a quarantine applies to them until September 9.
After the direct experience with the pitfalls of the virus, Waldram also has a clear opinion on the online voting initiated by the football association.
As reported, the BEV would like to obtain the “okay” from its members to legally enforce a continuation of the season.
“We will vote no,” emphasizes Wamsler.
“They should finally break off now.
In March we can see if it works again. "
