Today's detonation of an explosive device targeted a military convoy belonging to the so-called logistical support of the American coalition in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, wounding a member of the Federal Police.
Alsumaria News quoted an Iraqi security source as saying that an explosive device that was placed on the side of the Shuala highway in Baghdad exploded today in the logistical support vehicle of the International Coalition, which resulted in the injury of a member of the Federal Police and material damage to the vehicle.
An American soldier was killed in the Iraqi city of Erbil last May, and the US Department of Defense announced at the time that his death came in a "non-combat" accident.
