Homs firefighters put out a fire in the forests of the town of Baiyoun in the western countryside

The cadres of the Homs Fire Brigade were able to extinguish a fire that broke out in the woods of the town of Ayoun in the western countryside of Homs.

Colonel Othman Juda, commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, told SANA's correspondent that the regiment’s operations room received a report yesterday evening about a fire in the town of Baiyoun on the Lebanese-Syrian border near the southern river al-Kabeer. Immediately, the fire brigade members moved to the site of the fire and made several attempts to surround it, especially due to the difficulty of access. To the fire spots at the bottom of the valley, where they were able to extinguish it, and they are currently carrying out cooling operations and monitoring the place to prevent the renewal of fire.

Yesterday, Homs firefighters put out several fires in Homs and its countryside, including oil residues, forest and fruit trees and herbs.
