Significant progress in efforts for a political breakthrough vis-à-vis Saudi Arabia.

Admittedly King Salman is still opposed to the move, so for now it is doubtful whether the historic breakthrough will indeed be completed in the near future.

However, during a visit by the senior US delegation to Riyadh last week, led by Jared Kushner, a proposal was made for a tripartite move between the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia, similar to the move against Kosovo. The move is very sensitive and there is no certainty that it will succeed.

In the US administration, there are differences of opinion as to whether a peace agreement with Saudi Arabia is good for Israel at this time.

Some senior government officials believe the historic fitness hour should be exploited and the parties brought to mutual recognition.

Others believe that the people of Saudi Arabia are not ripe for peace with Israel, since unlike the Emirates, the kingdom is still closed to the world and has anti-Israel views.

According to these sources, an agreement with Saudi Arabia at this time will bring peace only at the level of leadership, such as the one that Israel has with Jordan and Egypt.

Meanwhile, congratulations to the international community and Israel on the establishment of historic relations with Serbia, and on its announcement that it will establish its embassy in Jerusalem.

Czech President Milos Zaman congratulated Serbia on the move, saying it "should inspire the Czech Republic".

His spokesman added that Zaman has long supported the relocation of his country's embassy to the Israeli capital.

On Saturday evening, Prime Minister Netanyahu called US President Trump during a presidential meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Abdullah Hoti and congratulated the two leaders on their decision to establish full diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In addition, the Prime Minister of Kosovo announced at the meeting that Kosovo will open an embassy in Jerusalem.

"Kosovo will be the first Muslim-majority country to open an embassy in Jerusalem. As I said in recent days, the circle of peace and recognition of Israel is expanding and more countries are expected to join it," Netanyahu said.

Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said, "We see the decision of Serbia and Kosovo to establish embassies in Jerusalem as a symbolic step towards promoting peace between these countries. The city of Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the State of Israel, will be a bridge of peace to the whole world. Capital of Israel".
