The mutilations of horses now extend to Val-d'Oise.
Two cases have been identified in recent days.
This Saturday morning, a mare was found with vulva injuries in an equestrian center in the town of Grisy-les-Plâtres.
A veterinarian intervened soon after to perform stitches.
The day before, another attack was noted at the equestrian center Le Galop in Sannois, Friday afternoon.
A horse had an ear cut out, without anyone knowing when it would have happened.
In this same equestrian center two horses fell brutally ill at that time.
Possible poisoning
One of them died.
The other has received veterinary care and is likely to be able to recover.
These two equines could have been the object of poisoning, but this has not yet been established.
The link with the mutilation is also not proven at this stage.
Among horse owners, these attacks created a real psychosis.
The equestrian committee of Val-d'Oise calls on all of its members to be cautious but also to restraint.
“The slightest vehicle that stops in front of a meadow becomes suspect,” notes Alain Chaspoul, technical advisor to the Val-d'Oise equestrian committee.
Just because two kids stop in a car in a road to kiss doesn't mean they're going to pick on horses.

The committee asked all the owners to ask them to return their horses in the evening, to make regular rounds and to warn the police in case of suspicion.
