191,000 pre-check samples today

A government spokesman said that from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. this morning, a total of about 191,000 citizens have undergone the national testing program and registered for sampling at various community testing centers in Hong Kong for virus testing.

Since September 1, a total of approximately 847,000 people have registered for sampling at the testing center.



As of 8 pm on September 5, the plan has completed sample tests of approximately 439,000 samples, a rate of 52%.

Initially positive samples will be reviewed by the Public Health Laboratory Service of the Department of Health to confirm the results, and confirmed cases will be followed up by the Centre for Health Protection and announced.



In addition, as of 8 pm today, a total of about 1.058 million citizens have successfully booked an appointment for testing.

The project has received 180 cases so far that personal data was used by others to register for appointment.

After understanding, 98 of these cases were suspected to involve embezzlement of other people's personal data, which have been transferred to the police for processing.

In addition, a government spokesman said that members of the mainland nucleic acid testing support team from Guangxi and Fujian came to Hong Kong today, involving a total of 150 people, and they went to a hotel on Hong Kong Island.

Together with the about 420 members who came to Hong Kong earlier, there are now about 570 support team members in Hong Kong to assist the government in launching a national testing program.
