The protest against government corruption and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues tonight (Saturday), the 11th Saturday in a row.
In Jerusalem, protesters are expected to march from the String Bridge to the official residence on Balfour Street, after 13 activists were arrested during the night on suspicion of trying to steal police checkpoints located on Balfour Street.
Starting at 18:00, demonstrators gathered at bridges and intersections throughout the country, and at 19:30 a demonstration will begin in front of the Netanyahu family's home in Caesarea.
The procession in the capital will begin at 8 p.m.
As part of the police's preparations for the demonstrations in Jerusalem, Ben Maimon, Gaza, Paris Square, Agron, King George and Keren Hayesod streets were closed to traffic.
Later in the evening, forces will be deployed in these areas, according to the police "in order to allow the freedom of protest to all citizens, to maintain public safety and public order."

"We call on the participants of the demonstration to refrain from displaying violence and provocation. Israeli police officers are prepared and ready, at any given moment, to maintain and protect public peace, to allow a safe and free life, including freedom of expression and protest," the police said in a statement.
Activists who stole the police checkpoints allegedly arrived at the scene with two trucks to pick up the checkpoints at the scene ahead of tonight’s demonstrations.
Nine of them will be brought before the Magistrate's Court in the city.
13 suspects were arrested.

According to protest activists, the goal was to move the checkpoints that create pressure in the demonstrations and endanger the protesters.
They claimed to have arrived with two trucks and planned to bring the checkpoints to the rental company in Or Yehuda.
According to them, "pressure barriers are another tool of the Jerusalem police in the arsenal of violent tools directed against the demonstrators. Every week, the police choose to limit the demonstration in a way that does not allow the corona guidelines to be observed in view of the high number of participants."
