An officer of the Buenos Aires Police died this Saturday after being run over by two young people who were on a motorcycle, and it is being investigated if they wanted to evade a vehicle control because they did not have permission to circulate.

The incident occurred around 6 in the morning at the intersection of Catamarca and General Hornos, in that district of the southern suburbs, on the border with Lomas de Zamora, where the victim was stationed:

Police sources reported that the woman was with three other agents while they were conducting a vehicle control and was hit by a Gilera Smash with two occupants on board who
did not respect the "stop" voice.
The victim suffered serious injuries and died a few minutes later as a result of the impact despite the resuscitation tasks of the medical personnel who had been alerted by their colleagues.

In principle, both were apprehended at the disposal of the prosecutor Sergio Schafer, in charge of the decentralized Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 2 in Lanús, Lomas de Zamora Judicial Department, who classified the case as
"culpable homicide."
The sources added that the judicial official ordered a series of expert reports in the place and that the corresponding autopsy be carried out.
