Niederaichbach - Some
strollers are
probably
amazed

They get electric shocks

- especially when the meadows are damp.
In the town hall, the information from citizens piled up.
Several media had already reported about it.
Niederaichbach: Strollers get electric shocks - certain people should avoid walking
A solution to the unusual problem is already in sight, as both the
mayor of
the municipality in the Lower Bavarian
district of Landshut
and a spokeswoman for the network operator
Tennet
say.
For the time being, town
hall chief Josef Klaus
advises
residents to avoid walking along the power line, especially if they have a pacemaker.
When he first heard of the problem, he thought: “What a rubbish”, said Mayor Klaus.
But then he tried it.
He found that under the 380 kilovolt line near the
Isar II nuclear power plant, it
actually crackled in the fingers or tingled on the legs.
The municipality then commissioned a
TÜV report
and contacted the network operator.
The report showed that limit values had been significantly exceeded, said Klaus.
Tennet
wants to remedy the situation.

Strollers get electric shocks: network operator wants to fix the problem
According to a spokeswoman, there were
frequent problems with the line
during
storms
in the early 1990s
because it then "danced" and short circuits occurred.
As a result, the phase allocation of the lines was changed in 1994 and the problem was solved.
That this in turn led to
electric shocks
under the line was only reported to the company this year.

To fix the problem, the phases would have to be rearranged.
The line will be taken off the grid for several weeks, which must be coordinated with other network operators.
In addition, approval from the governments of
Lower and Upper Bavaria is
required.
That has already been initiated, said the spokeswoman for the
Bayreuth-
based company.
Mayor Klaus hopes that the problem of electric shocks can be resolved in the course of the coming year.
