At the end of the 1st day of the Top 14, Clermont won on Sunday in pain against Toulouse (33-30).
The Rouge et Noir finished the match at thirteen after the red cards received by its two second-row Iosefa Tekori (34th) and Richie Arnold (50th) but, despite this, they almost won at the Marcel-Michelin stadium.
Ugo Mola's players were dangerous until the end and were refused a try from Romain Ntamack at the end of the match.
Previously, the Auvergne had scored three tries: one penalty (23rd), another by Camille Lopez (33rd) and another by George Moala (70th).
The Rouge et Noirs scored four thanks to François Cros (15th), a double from Rynhardt Elstadt (45th, 56th) and another, superb, from Antoine Dupont (68th).
